Police Budget Protects Frontline Policing

Today (Thursday 11th February) Lancashire Police Authority set the budget, and thereby the policing precept, for policing Lancashire in 2010-11. This year's budget is designed to protect both previous years' investment in the protection of vulnerable people and frontline police officer posts.

Falling crime in Lancashire means fewer victims

RESIDENTS of Lancashire are safer than ever before as crime levels in the county continue to fall. Overall crime is down by 4.9 per cent with 6,106 fewer crimes committed in the year 2008/09 compared to 2007/08.
Lancashire Police Authority - Chief Officer Bonus Scheme

Today (24th June 2009) Lancashire Police Authority formally approved the decision of the Authority’s Appointments & Remuneration Committee to award Chief Officer Bonuses, in line with the national Chief Officer Bonus Scheme, as reported in the Committee’s minutes.
