Nominated Member - Anthony Jones
The Audit and Standards Committee monitors the effectiveness of the Authority's and Constabulary's internal control systems through internal and external audit; oversees the Authority's arrangements for risk management and corporate governance and is responsible for Standards and Conduct matters relating to Members and formally receives the Authority's Statement of Accounts.
Three Independent Lay Members from outside the Authority are appointed to this Committee to help increase public confidence, provide a clear signal that the Committee is fair, and bring a wider perspective from their outside experiences. These members are:
- Mrs Paula Goulding
- Mr Douglas Soper (Chair of the Committee)
- Mr Keith Williams
