The ‘Investors in Policing’ campaign was launched in 2007 to encourage YOU to get more involved in shaping how policing is delivered.
When it comes to investment options for your hard earned cash what drives your investment decision?
Do you ask questions such as ‘What return will I get?’ ‘How will it be managed?’ ‘What is the risk involved?’ ‘What types of companies will my money be invested in?’
The same could be said of policing. As a Lancashire resident you invest in Policing through the payment of council tax. An average council tax payer in 2010/2011 pays around ?146 a year.
The question Lancashire Police Authority wants to ask is ‘are you wise about your investment return?’
As an investor, you can do any of the following:
- Voice opinions about the type of police service you want
- Help set the policing priorities and targets
- Attend local police meetings
- Share your experiences/expectations of policing services
The Police Authority believes that policing priorities should be developed with residents and reflect local needs. To do this, we want to listen to you to find out what you expect from local policing. Visit our LOOP website to give us your views on policing in Lancashire www.getintheloop.co.uk
